BTCRecover is an open source wallet password and seed recovery tool. It is free to use. You can get the tool on Github: for some old PC, you may need the old version to run:

For seed recovery, when you lost a small part of your seed words, or have made an error when writing down. BTCRecover can help you get the correct seeds.
For wallet password or spending PIN recovery, it is useful if you have a rough idea about what your password might be. for some cases, you also need experience and skills in statistics, psychology and cognition science, etc. it is not a pure technical data recovery process for most cases.
